About Us

We've both been working in technology, career advice, and education for over 10 years. Cristian is an entrepreneur who created Bomberbot.com, and during his time there, he held the role of hiring people. He saw first-hand how people apply for jobs, what worked and what didn't.

Lisa worked at Codam.nl and Techgrounds.nl, helping people reskill and then find a job. She also saw first-hand the challenges people had to go through when applying for a new job.

Then came the moment when we had to apply for jobs ourselves. Despite all our experience and knowledge, we experienced how frustrating the process is. You see a job, you spend a lot of time tailoring your docs, apply, get rejected or ghosted, lose some confidence, and have to start again.

After going through this cycle ourselves, we decided to do something about this process and help others. Lumen is aimed at becoming the partner of job seekers, supporting them in the entire process of applying for a job. We want it to be there ready to help people as much as possible in this important process of their lives.

Today, Lumen focuses on automating the tedious process of applying for a job, but we're working to expand its capabilities to really become the trusted partner that can help all the way through.

We don't believe tech can do all the work. That's why we believe that working together with the job seeker, and collaborating with career coaches, we can keep on supporting people in this process of their lives.
